LED Light Therapy
First developed by NASA to assist astronauts with their skin health, LED Light Therapy has been used in cosmetic medicine for decades to improve blood flow, reduce skin recovery time and enhance results.
Our Healite LED is the gold standard in LED Light Therapy, increasing circulation to the site of the hair follicle and enhances the results of your PRP and micro-needling treatments
Although PRP, micro-needling and LED Light Therapy treatments are all renowned for increasing blood flow, regeneration and improving skin quality, studies have shown that the best client outcomes have resulted from the use of a minimum of 2 of these types of hair loss treatments. Although we can discuss each treatment separately, for best results, we recommend a course of all 3 types of hair loss treatments.
The procedure for PRP therapy takes 30-45 minutes. It will take 5-10 minutes to draw the blood, another 10 minutes to spin down and separate your PRP from your blood and a further 10-15 minutes for injecting the plasma into the desired area.
The needles used to perform the procedure are super fine, and the actual injections do not usually hurt for most people. However, some clients may experience slight discomfort or sensitivity to certain areas of the scalp. We recommend using a numbing cream to increase patient comfort.
Studies show that PRP therapy is it most effective for for those with mild to moderate hair loss or hair thinning as the hair follicles are still alive, but are not as healthy as they used to be. In general, the more recent the hair loss, the more effective a course of PRP treatments will be.
